A Coathanger

The brand new coathanger hangs on the silver beam. He shouts rude remarks in an  annoyingly posh voice out of his big mouth. He gets very fed up when he is covered by jackets!

The Chinese Zodiac Animals.

For the Chinese New Year there are animals each representing a year. There are 12 animals, tiger, dragon, snake, pig, horse, ram, ox, rat, rooster, monkey, dog and rabbit. My chinese zodiac is a rooster and this year is the year of the horse. We had to make a poster for one of the animals and put 5 famous people on it. Me and my friend Ari chose to do the rat. We did Lorde, Abagail Breslin, Rowan Atkinson, William Shakespeare and Elizabeth the queen's mother. The Chinese Zodiac is celebrated all over the world. What is your Chinese zodiac?

Year 4 Athletics

Every Wednesday the year 4s do athletics with people from Sport Wanganui. We do throwing, catching, skipping, jumping, hopping, dodging and sometimes we do a sack race. It is really fun because you learn and exercise at the same time! Next week we are doing an assessment over everything we have learnt.

Drama

Every week we get a poem that we have to do a dramatic interpretation on the poem. This is the poem that we had to do.
                                                                                 Storm
A storm is coming.
The hot wind carries,
a whisper of thunder.
The trees are anxious,
they call to one another.
"Wrap up tight!
Hold onto your leaves"
The wind is changing.
Fat chilly puffs squeeze
under the door.
"The cold is coming!" They shriek
through the cracks in the floor.
The chimney roars,
"Light the fire! Light the fire!"
Then the sky cracks open.

Holiday Readers!!!!

In the holidays some kids at our school read books in the holidays. The ones who read the most books or the hardest book got to go to mini putt and play at the park!!! First we did the mini putt. I was in a group with Nikita, Sam, George and Chloe. It was super fun and I came 2nd equal. After that we all walked over to the park and had lunch. We then went and played in the park. I went on the merry go round and I almost fell off!!! I had a superb time at mini putt and the park. It was awesome to get away from work at school!

Ingredients

6 Books

1 Old House

2 Mean Parents

2 Nasty  Older Sisters

1 Small Tv

3 Comfy Couches

 

Method

Take 2 mean parents. Add 2 nasty  older sisters. Knead well. Place  in  dish to form crust. Heat oven to 20 degrees. Place crust in oven.

In a bowl pour the old house. Add 6 books. Make sure there are no dust covers on  books. Chop 3 comfy couches. Chop 1 small, 1 medium and 1 large. Mix well. Add dry small T.V. Take crust out of oven. Pour the mixture into the crust . Serve hot. Enjoy!

 

 

Back to School

We've just come back to school from the holidays and I am flabbergasted!!! It is exhausting having to go back to school. Lots and lots of hard work is tiring me out. I am DESTROYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am still enjoying doing lots of work. My desk is very messy and I am tired. We are doing lots of hard work. I can't wait until the holidays again.
